Pine Cove Madness 2019
In 2019 I was able to run our March Madness bracket competition. There are two reasons why this competition is run. The first is to potentially get new campers to come to camp, the second is to encourage fun engagement from our campers and fans.
The different parts of this project include social media posts, an email, a landing page, the website for the competition rules, and the actual two-week event itself. From start to finish I was project manager, designer, copywriter, and facilitator for this project. From updating brackets to mailing out the prizes, this project was my pride and joy for the weeks leading up to the weekend. This was one of my favorite projects I worked on at Pine Cove.
This email was sent to thousands of parents with customizable information for every family, parent, and camper. The goal of sending this to our campers’ parents was to inform them of the competition and encourage them to share it with their kids and their friends. The more the merrier!
Once our readers reach this landing page the campers are given the prizes in each category. We decided to include a landing page to explain just a little more information about what the prizes are and to limit an overwhelming amount of details in the email or the rules page.
Finally, the last page is the camper parent or camper arrives at is the actual website. The website explains how the competition will be run, giving the readers a clear call to action. The button on the bottom of the page takes them to the CBS sports page, where the true brackets live and where champions are made.
Thank you for forgiving any discrepancies found on this page. The website has changed between the last time I worked on this project and when it was added to my portfolio.
In conclusion, this project was a perfect way to create thousands of opportunities for client acquisition, retention, and cross sales.
